Weddings

There is no dress more important to any woman than her wedding dress. It is searched for, saved for and delighted in. The sight of a bride in full wedding regalia is an inspiration to all who see her.

From a medieval princess worthy of any fairytale, to a sleek 1970s modern miss, I can recreate a bridal gown from any period in history. Choose from any of my vintage pattern collection (spanning the years from 1940 to 1990) for a breathtaking retro look, or consult my fashion plate library to become the perfect Regency or Victorian heroine.

From an initial consultation, I’ll sketch the design for your approval, and you’ll choose from an array of exquisite fabrics, (including superb silks ordered directly from the manufacturer in India). Next comes the creation of a ‘toile’ (a try-out of your gown) in cotton, to make sure that the fit is perfect, and your dress can then be cut and sewn.

Having a wedding gown made just for you is a wonderful collaboration, and one of the most exciting adventures of your life. I do hope that you will decide to enjoy it with me.
